2023 Art’s Birthday- Cybersonica Soire

The Annual Art’s Birthday bash is a-coming! Artists’ collectives, radio stations, creative groups and learning institutes across the world converge in paying tribute. This year it is the big 60^th birthday celebration – and Salonistas are turning up in force to make even more noise that we did in 2022 . You can read about  our live coding -to-music experiments  from our last year contributions here.

This year we are moving to VR space and will be welcoming musicians to our newly constructed Cyberia Café in VR, a new venue for online concerts, events and rallies.

Eva “Pixel” Pascoe and Ben-jimmersive Greenaway will be hosting the event, with Hallidonto and his new music from Sanctum Cyborgia, John Horsley from his London Studio, Simon Sarginson leading live coding, Irina ‘Miss Naivety” Shtreis with ambient folk, Matt Obichere (Newcastle Uni), Dan Stapleton, Ryan Battles  and others. 

Stefan Lutschinger (Middlesex University) is introducing the event and the story of  Robert Filliou‘s contribution to creative arts. 

Our team will be sporting VR special Art’s Birthday Hats, folded in VR just for this special night by PCM Creative.

Theme – Virtual Selves

The work by Hallidonto and Ergo explores the range of virtual identities, with increasing amount of options to select from different bodies/sleeves, that our consciousness can inhabit. 

Freedom of exploration in triple presence will be explored and celebrated to the full.

We will be present as avatars in Altspace VR, Cyberia Café venue, and will be streaming on Cybersalon Twitch channel and chat on Zoom – triple presence for our spiritual incarnations, as it is fit for big birthday bash for Art!  We will also be previewing digital artworks from Hallidonto’s new show titled New Sleeve opening 18^th January at Armoury Gallery (Bermondsey London)
